Interpretation
Interpretation is a process in which the meaning of the spoken source language is transferred to the target language, e.g. at meetings (consecutive) or seminars (simultaneous-in booths with headphones).
Whispered interpretation
Whispered interpretation is a type of simultaneous interpretation which requires no special equipment. The interpreter is position ed near the audience and quietly interprets the speaker's words. Whispered interpreting is used when a relatively small group of people in the audience needs help in understanding the speaker.
This type of interpretation is not used frequently, which is why it must be ordered at least two weeks in advance.
Telephone and court interpretation
Court interpretation takes place at courts, marriage ceremonies and anywhere that it is required for official purposes. For telephone interpreting, the interpreter interprets sentence by sentence, thus making the information more accurate.
The interpreter does not have to take notes, and the listener can follow the dialogue more easily. Court interpreting must be ordered at least one week in advance.
Consecutive interpretation
We offer consecutive interpretation, for which we engage only one interpreter, who does not use a sound-proof booth. It is advisable to place an interpreter next to the guest and allow short pauses during the discourse to enable the interpreter to give an interpretation. The interpreter takes notes to facilitate their work. Please order consecutive interpretation at least two weeks before the event.
Simultaneous interpretation
Professional conference equipment is needed for simultaneous interpreting at events, seminars and conferences. The interpreter works from a soundproof booth and has no direct contact with the speaker, the speech is heard through headphones. Equipment can be delivered anywhere in Europe in one day.
Transcription/Recording
Transcription is a process whereby the spoken word (either ona video or audio file-in various formats: mp3, .wav, .avi, .mp4, .mpg, .wmv,) is transformed into a recorded or written form. The transcription process involves watching and listening to recordings and transcribing what is said. IOLAR group closely and successfully cooperates with customers from USA, EU and UK in the field of video transcription.
